Ashley Grimes


Ashley Grimes graduated from Howard W. Blake Performing Arts High School as a dance major. She then went on to graduate from Point Park University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. She moved to Los Angeles for 6 years gaining dance industry knowledge by training and performing in a variety of events. Upon moving back to Tampa she founded the professional dance company Tampa Modern Dance Company. Ashley takes the most pride in her teaching and choreography. She has been training and investing her time into some of the best competitive dancers for 19 years at multiple studios throughout the Tampa Bay Area, for many years as a Team Director and freelance choreographer . Her choreography has achieved very high accolades at competitions through out the United States, often times winning first overall and receiving choreography awards. This journey has brought her to this moment to fully believe and commit to establishing the Ashley Grimes Dance Collective as she has a strong vision , direction, and passion for her craft, her dancers and the future excellence of the collective .

Claudia Rich


Originally from Forked River New Jersey, Claudia Rich began her formal dance training at the age 3. Her primary training before entering college took place along the Treasure Coast at Kimberly’s School of Dance directed by Kimberly Beauregard where Claudia trained in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop. 
While in High School Claudia took part in the annual dance concert ‘Believe’ at Treasure Coast and showcased three pieces of her own choreography, ‘Over the Love’, ‘People Help People’, and ‘Rule the World’. While in High School, Claudia trained under JJ Butler at Vantage Pointe Studios as a competition team member. 
Claudia completed her training at Vantage Pointe Studios early to pursue dance at the collegiate level where she trained while at Marymount Manhattan University and Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has trained under distinguished faculty such as Nancy Lushington,  Juan Carlos Peñuelas , and more. She also was involved with the Rutgers University Student Competition Team, Intramural Sports, and heavily involved in Student Athletics. Throughout her undergraduate career she took classes at studios such as Broadway Dance Center, and Ballet Academy East while working as a choreographer at Starz Dance Studio in Brick NJ. 
Claudia has also worked alongside athletic trainers for major professional sports organizations such as The Philadelphia Soul, and Rutgers Athletic . Upon graduating from Rutgers University, she obtained several hours as a Rehab Technician in Port St Lucie before relocating to Tampa Bay to pursue a graduate degree in Physical Therapy.

Angelle Wise


Angelle Wise is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and began dancing at two years old. Throughout her childhood she studied a variety of techniques including ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and musical theatre. After high school, she went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a focus in performance and choreography from the University of North Texas along with a certificate in rehabilitation studies. 

Angelle studied with professional companies including Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Magnificat!, Black Label Movement, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, Reformation Dance Company, Ballet Wyoming, Todd Rosenlieb Dance Company, Virginia Ballet Theatre, and former Ballet Master of the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Kellye A. Saunders. She performed regularly throughout her life in concert dance, competition dance, ballets, and outreach programs; she continues to perform today along with her love of teaching dance. 

Angelle has taught in Louisiana, Texas, Wyoming, and Virginia before arriving to Florida. She has taught ages 18 months to sixty-five years old in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, creative movement and Progressive Ballet Technique. Angelle is most eager to starting her dance journey in Florida!
